CtrlDocs add‑ons that take M‑Files further
Managers get dashboards with live figures, and a new project gets its team in Microsoft Teams. Our development partner CtrlDocs builds these add‑ons, we sell and implement them, and each one runs on every M‑Files edition, in the cloud or on your own servers.

What each add-on does for you

CtrlPortals
Dashboards with the live figures managers ask for, and a portal behind every customer, project or document. Charts, kanban boards, Gantt plans, forms and knowledge bases, on data from M‑Files or SQL.

CtrlShare

Ask M‑Files in plain words. CtrlScout finds the records, counts and charts them, summarises documents and drafts the email, and it only sees what the person asking is allowed to see.

CtrlConnect
An M‑Files link in a Teams chat or an Outlook email shows the record's details beside it, and M‑Files can be searched from the chat, on the desktop, on the web and on a phone.

CtrlTime
People record their hours in a calendar, on the customer, project or other M‑Files record they worked for. Weekly timesheets are approved, and the hours are reported for payroll and invoicing.

These come from M‑Files' own catalogue rather than from CtrlDocs. Which of them your subscription includes varies, so we check each one before we quote.
M‑Files for Outlook
File emails from Outlook into M‑Files with their metadata, and M‑Files can pick up the customer or contact from the email. It works in classic Outlook, in the new Outlook and in Outlook on the web.
M‑Files for Teams
Open M‑Files content in Teams and search M‑Files from Teams, with the M‑Files app for Teams.
SharePoint Online connector
Find and manage SharePoint Online content from M‑Files without moving it, so a migration can wait or never happen.
M‑Files Hubshare
Share selected content with invited clients and partners, who see only the hubs they are invited to. Licensed separately.
M‑Files Metadata Agent
Suggests metadata when documents are added, and with Metadata Agent at Scale adds metadata to existing documents in bulk, for example in a migration. Licensed separately.
Copilot connector
Microsoft 365 Copilot can work with M‑Files documents and respects M‑Files permissions, through Microsoft 365 storage or the M‑Files Connector for Copilot, for people with a Copilot licence.
M‑Files OCR
Turns scanned pages into searchable PDFs, so a scanned agreement is found by the words in it.
M‑Files Reporting
Copies vault data to a reporting database, so dashboards and reports can be built in external tools. For dashboards inside M‑Files itself, see CtrlPortals from CtrlDocs.

When you need a whole solution
- CtrlDocs for Elements — The controlled documents behind your Elements.cloud process maps, reviewed and approved in workflows in M‑Files. The approved PDF is published to the Elements.cloud URL library.
- VisualQMS — Our own quality management system with visual business processes, where people find their way by the process map. It uses several M‑Files apps from CtrlDocs.
